The Light Armored Vehicle is primarily used by reconnaissance forces, with each of the variants able to swim through most water outside of the open ocean. A hybrid of reconnaissance vehicle and infantry fighting vehicle, the LAV mounts a 25mm chain gun as well as both a coaxial and pintle-mounted M240 medium machine gun.
Command, recovery, and 81 mm mortar-carrying variants also exist, along with an anti-tank version with remotely-operated TOW missile launchers.
