While their presence across Russian military formations is variable thanks to a difficult supply chain situation, some Russian soldiers are equipped with GP-25 40mm grenade launchers. The GP-25 launches a wide variety of grenades and is intended to mount to AK-series rifles.
Grenades launched by the RP-25 include high explosive, smoke, illumination, and marking rounds, though their ability to detonate is often subject to the same quality control limitations of much modern Russian equipment.
