The Israeli-origin Spike is a modern anti-tank system, capable of being launched in fire-and-forget, wire-guided, and radio-guided modes with both flat and top-attack profiles.
The LR2 variant is the latest in the series with advanced tracking and lighter weight. The weapon is relatively new in Canadian service, primarily equipping Canadian units in Europe and undergoing a rollout for the broader Canadian Armed Forces after earlier use with Canada's SOF elements.
